Terms of Use

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of The Golf Gage ("the App"), a golf scoring and group-management app operated by Logan Gage ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Who Can Use the App

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using it, you confirm that you are 13 or older and able to agree to these Terms.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Please provide accurate information and let us know if you believe your account has been used without your permission. You can sign in with email, Apple, or Google.

4. Acceptable Use & Community Conduct

The App includes group features such as message boards. When using the App, you agree not to:

  • harass, threaten, or abuse other members;
  • post unlawful, hateful, or infringing content;
  • attempt to access data or accounts that are not yours;
  • disrupt, reverse-engineer, or otherwise misuse the App or its systems.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Your Content

You keep ownership of the content you create in the App — scores, notes, and message-board posts. You are responsible for that content. By posting it, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and share it within the App as needed to provide the service (for example, showing scores to your pack). We may remove content that violates these Terms.

6. Side Games & Friendly Wagers

The App lets your group set up and keep score for friendly "side games" (such as skins, Nassau, wolf, and similar formats). The Golf Gage is only a scorekeeping tool. Specifically:

  • We do not handle, process, hold, or transfer any money. No funds ever pass through the App.
  • Any money your group chooses to play for is arranged and exchanged directly between players, offline, and entirely at your own discretion and risk.
  • Payout amounts and calculations shown in the App are provided for convenience only and may be incorrect. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any scores, results, or payouts before relying on or settling them. We are not responsible for errors in any calculation, score, or payout.
  • You are solely responsible for ensuring that any wager or money game complies with the laws that apply to you. The App is not a gambling service and does not facilitate betting.

7. Packs, Organizers & Pro Shops

The App is organized around "packs" (your golf group). Pack owners and organizers can manage members, courses, play days, and games; members can participate and follow along. Golf course pro shops may be granted read-only access to tee times and participant names for play days scheduled at their course. Access is limited to what each role needs.

8. Tips & In-App Purchases

The App may offer optional "tip jar" purchases to support development. Tips are voluntary, unlock no additional features, and are processed entirely by Apple or Google — we never see or store your payment information. Purchases are subject to the applicable app store's terms and refund policies.

9. Courses & Third-Party Information

Course information (such as names, locations, and hole pars) may be entered by users or drawn from third-party sources and may be incomplete or inaccurate. The App relies on third-party services including Apple, Google, and Supabase, each governed by their own terms.

10. Service "As Is" & Accuracy

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that scores, standings, payouts, schedules, or other information are accurate, complete, or always available, or that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free. You use the App at your own discretion and risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Golf Gage and Logan Gage will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any losses arising from inaccurate scores or payouts, money exchanged between players, lost data, or your use of (or inability to use) the App.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time from the app's settings; account deletion permanently removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the App.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be handled in the courts located in Colorado.
